Privacy Policy
What personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you control it.
Effective September 5, 2026. Last updated September 5, 2026.
This policy explains how E Tag Renew handles personal information when you use this website or ask us to assist with a Florida vehicle registration renewal request.
Two things we deliberately never ask for
1.What we collect
Information you give us
- Your details — name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, so we can prepare the paperwork and send your documents back.
- Vehicle details — license plate number, VIN, make, model, year, and current registration expiration date.
- Your driver license number and date of birth, only where the renewal paperwork requires it. This is stored encrypted and is used solely to complete the required forms.
- Your signature on the limited power of attorney authorizing us to act for you on this one request.
- Documents you choose to upload, such as proof of insurance, when we ask for them.
- Messages you send us through the contact form or your account.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the site working and to detect fraud and abuse.
- A referral code, if you arrived through a partner link, so the partner can be credited.
What we never hold
- Your card number. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers or our database. We only ever see the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the payment succeeded.
- Your Social Security number.
- Images of your driver license.
2.Why we use it
We use your information only to:
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on the renewal request you asked us to handle.
- Collect payment, and where applicable remit government charges to the appropriate Florida agency on your behalf.
- Keep you updated on your request and answer your questions.
- Send you a reminder when a registration we previously helped with is coming due again, unless you turn those off.
- Detect and prevent fraud, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4.How we protect it
- All traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit.
- Data is encrypted at rest, and driver license data is encrypted separately on top of that.
- Access is restricted by row-level security rules: your records are only readable by you and by authorized staff who need them to work your request.
- Staff actions on a request are written to an append-only audit log.
No system is perfectly secure, but these are the controls we hold ourselves to. If a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you as required by Florida law.
5.How long we keep it
- Request and payment records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Signed power of attorney documents are kept as part of the record of what you authorized.
- Driver license data is retained only while it is needed to complete the request and satisfy record-keeping requirements.
- Abandoned drafts that never became a paid request are deleted after a short period.
6.Your choices and rights
- See your information. Sign in to your account to view your requests, documents, and messages, or email us for a copy.
- Correct it. Tell us and we will fix it. If a request is already submitted, we will tell you what can still be changed.
- Delete it. Email us to request deletion. We will delete what we are not legally required to retain, and tell you plainly what we must keep and why.
- Control messages. Notification settings in your account let you turn email and text updates on or off. Marketing messages have an unsubscribe link in every one. We will still send essential messages about an active request.
To exercise any of these, email support@etagrenew.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8.Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we will tell you about material changes by email if you have an account. Your rights under the Terms of Service are unaffected.
